A choice I could make for myself.
A choice I could make right then and there.
Was it easy? No. Like any other habit it takes time and discipline. But I am here to tell you, you CAN choose happiness.

Before We Get Started
In this video Dan Gilbert, author of “Stumbling on Happiness,” challenges the idea that we’ll be miserable if we don’t get what we want. Our “psychological immune system” lets us feel truly happy even when things don’t go as planned. If you are just now learning about our profound ability as humans to choose happiness. This video is the best place to start.
This is a free Ebook over choosing happiness. It’s a great read and will help you understand the logic behind choosing happiness for yourself.

The first step to choosing happiness is one of the most obvious. You must MAKE THE CHOICE. But if you are like me, you may not even know where to begin. You may also have a hard time committing to something without a detailed and specific plan. These articles walk you through the steps and offer tips along the way to choosing happiness for yourself. If you are ready to begin your path to happiness, and are looking for a guide… these plans are a perfect choice.
Although choosing happiness doesn’t mean walking around on cloud nine and choosing to be oblivious to everything around you, choosing to be positive in situations will lead you down the path to true happiness. Try these tips to learn how to stay positive and keep negative thoughts at bay.
Choosing Happiness as a Mom
I know as a mom adding another thing to your to-do list isn’t exactly appealing. But taking the time to be intentional on choosing happiness should be at the top of your priorities. After all, if mom isn’t happy chances are no one else is happy. Your kids can feel your moods and emotions and will react accordingly. By choosing happiness for yourself, you are creating happiness for your children. Follow these simple rules to learn how to choose happiness while being a mom.
Being a SAHM comes with its own long list of obstacles on your path to happiness. As this article so accurately describes it, being a stay at home mom can only be equivalent to “living the real-life version of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day”. Which honestly describes it perfectly. Routines are GREAT, schedules are WONDERFUL, but the monotony of it all can lead you down the path opposite of happiness easily. Take time for yourself as a SAHM and follow these guidelines to help you choose happiness in it all.
It’s no secret working moms have guilt. In this day and age… a LOT of moms work. Some have to. Some choose to. Regardless of how you got there, being a working mom comes with guilt and it’s often hard to find a balance between motherhood and your job/career. Guilt does not create happiness. If you want to find happiness as a working mom, follow these steps.
Help Your Children Choose Happiness
Raising happy kids is not about giving in to your children, or indulging their every whim. It’s not about providing everything your child could ever want or need. Rather happiness is an art, an art you can teach your child to master. You can set your child up for a lifetime of happiness by raising them to choose it for themselves. The following resources will guide you.
Do you believe happiness is a choice? What has been your experience? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
